In a World That Moves Fast, Let Us Not Forget to Be Human
By Adama Jallow
In our race for success, survival, and recognition, it's easy to forget the most powerful thing we carry within us—our humanity.
We scroll past pain. We walk past struggle. We often forget that behind every tired face is a story, behind every silence is a voice waiting to be heard.
But what if we paused?
What if we chose compassion over indifference, and dignity over judgment? What if we reminded ourselves that respect is not earned through power or wealth, but by simply being human?

Upholding humanity is not grand—it’s in the small things:
- Listening without rushing.
- Speaking kindly even when we disagree.
- Helping someone not because we have much, but because we care.
Let us not be too busy to be kind. Too educated to be humble. Or too connected online to be disconnected from real people.
Compassion is not weakness. It’s strength. And in a world growing louder, it’s those with empathy who speak the clearest.
Let’s choose to uplift. Let’s restore dignity where it’s been lost. Let’s keep being human—deeply, unapologetically, and with heart.
